2nd’ing (or thirding?) that the Morricone music is great and makes the movie worthwhile alone. Also, anyone who agrees (and some who don’t) might want to check out this version of one of the tracks from Diabolik:
RIPMCA
My brain checked, like 4 or 5 times to make sure that isn’t Tim Hiedecker.
Good News!
Just like MST3K, as it turned out.
I loved the ending with Mike and the bots living together in an apartment still watching bad movies. Some things never change!
In Europe Disney comics have stayed a lot more popular than they are in America. So popular that Donald Duck has a Diabolik-esque series called Paperinik.
Holy Cannoli !
In the opening segments, it really sounds like Mike flubbed his line and said, “I love you, Pearl” instead of “I love you” to one of the robots.
Proof that all the Joel/Mike shippers in Fanficland back in the early Oughts were barking up the wrong mountain all along. The REAL OTP was always Pearl/Mike !!
'Scuse me. I need to go lie down for a bit.
Man I wish this was available on the Gizmoplex! What a fantastic episode!
[points up]
Not even sure why I chose to watch this one today. I guess I’m feeling vaguely Italian or something.
Well, I do have some Cannellini beans in the fridge, and—
[clears throat] Sorry. I meant:
“Gonna go to the fridge
(rre rre rre rre rre rre)
Find those beans that I soaked
(rre rre rre rre rre rre)
They’d make great garlic dip
(rre rre rre rre rre rre)
Hope they haven’t gone bad
(rre rre rre rre rre rre)…”
In your dreams. Pearl only had eyes for Art.
That’s IT! We’re going back in time to the heyday of Livejournal and it’s handbags at ten paces you… you… MINT-HATER!!!
