Today has marked 50 years since the Fleetwood Mac album Future Games was released. An underappreciated gem, it also happens to be my favorite of their albums. It has a relaxed, washed-out, shimmery vibe. While its successor, Bare Trees, is an album for days when you have things you’re trying to do, places to go, you’re setting out on the road, Future Games is for when you need a day for yourself, to relax and decompress, to float down the river and let the current take you where it will in its own time.
