I never won an essay contest, but I think I did reasonably well on the verbal part of the SATs. :person_shrugging:

Dunno if anyone here likes punk rock, but the Riverdales wrote a song called “I Accuse My Parents” on their second album. They would go on a bit later to make two whole albums using MST3k movies as the basis for the song titles, but they dropped more than a few MST3k references in their earlier work as well. They were obviously fans. When I saw them play a rare live show in Madison in the early 2010’s, Ben Foster, aka Ben Weasel, the guitarist/singer was wearing a fairly weathered MST3k shirt on stage.
