I haven’t seen this one in ages, so that would be a good excuse to watch it again. I’m not big into animal adventure films, so this one never really makes it onto my watch list. That’s the problem with having so many episodes; there are always too many you know you’ll like when you need to pick one.

This was one that grew on me over the years. I think that partially comes from Trace’s voice he does for Shep.

Though in the end, did they ever find where the bad guy hid the gold?

I’ll never shy away from giving my opinion on this forum. This episode? Just not in my rotation. I love to talk genres, and this one falls in my least favorite; westerns. The movie is decent, but the riffing just doesn’t move me. It has it’s moments, every episode does, but this is 2 episodes away from Mitchell. A truly classic if there ever was one!

Don’t think of it as a Western. Think of it as a dog movie. Does that help?

Not really.

I am not a fan of Westerns as a genre (in general, there are a few I like), but riffing on Westerns, I love. There are so many tropes to make fun of.
