Did the title of The Beatniks not really convey what the movie was about?
Would you want to make The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies a more concise title?
Would you hide the surprise reveal that was spoiled in the title of The Beast of Hollow Mountain?
Did you have a more fitting title in mind for Beyond Atlantis?
Well, it’s time for brainstorming! Let’s come up with new titles for the movies (and shorts, too, why not?) featured on MST3K.
Maybe you might go for more straightforward titles, more creative titles, more pun-heavy titles, sillier titles, more serious titles, whatever.
Let’s see what you got!
For Manos: The Hands of Fate…
Where’s Manos? Oh wait, actually scratch that. WHO’S MANOS?!?!?!
[Dave Batista voice]
I’ll go one better: WHY IS MANOS
The Rebel Set:
Judgment At Newark
Or maybe The Free-Verse Caper
I’d try and give them all generic VCI titles and steal footage from other movies to place over the opening credits.
I think the drive-in flicks all had the perfect names for the market they existed in. But, just for fun:
The Crawling Hand should have been Space Grabber: The Crawling Terror. Or, Gripped With Fear. Or, I Squeeze Your Neck.
If War of the Colossal Beast was a madcap, zany comedy:
Stop That Giant
The Leech Woman :
How Mala Almost Got Her Groove Back
Tormented becomes Why Is Vi’s Head on the Coffee Table?
Teen-Age Stranger becomes Mikey Cries, Girl Dies
Godzilla vs Megalon should really be Look, We Were Trying Something, Just to Keep Things Fresh.
