I like the DIY look and feel of them. It fits, and Jonah sells them well. But, like others, I found the novelty wore off for me. They’re perfect for Every Country Has A Monster, where you just need a quick one-off prop. But they don’t work as well in other contexts when you’re trying to use them to replace other props.

Looking at this still makes me think that they chose these simple white figures with the express purpose of making sure they’d pop against the deep-colored and complicated background of the ship interior. Bright-colored figures with more detail would’ve need an additional backdrop or diorama-like setting to avoid just being swallowed up.
