I just noticed itā€™s not just the forums. Some of my icons are shrinking, some are not.

Speculation on the web is that it may be an issue with Googleā€™s WebAPK generation service changed with a recent Chrome update. Googleā€™s fault. The Discourse devs are aware of the issue, which is good.

Phone updated to Android 13, hoped that might have an effectā€¦

Moon is even smaller now. Can barely make out the text on the icon.

All Iā€™ll say is that if this was an experiment by the MADs to mess with usā€¦ Itā€™s working.
