Seems like the auction house cares about the helmet more:
This lot consists of a metal helmet with a lip all the way around and one Crow puppet. The puppet is made predominantly of plastic painted in a gold-color with black accents and foam components built around a PVC support pipe. The shoulders have static switch buttons. The helmet comes in a custom-made acrylic display with an acrylic plaque.
Helmet: custom display case and plaque.
Puppet: I dunno, shoved into a paper grocery bag?
Priorities.
Breach hull, all bid. Even had it underlined.
Art Sale! Original Crow up for auction
This is a good title
That’s actually not a terrible deal for a complex prop seen in every episode of the original show. Way more than I can afford, but for a show with the reputation and cult status of MST3K, that’s really not at all a bad deal.
I’m just sorry it will end up in some private collector’s hands. Maybe just in order to flip it.
Edit: I should have opened the link first. It’s the one that’s just from The Movie. Still not a bad deal.
Given how much they focus on the helmet, there’s a chance it’s not confirmed to be the movie Crow, but just one of many Crows that would have been used throughout the show’s run. I’m sure there was a big box of them at the end and little in the way of identifying marks.
Even then, a good deal. How many TOS Star Trek tricorder props were there? Probably a bunch. This is still ridiculously pricey:

Well, sad as it is to admit, Star Trek is way more popular than MST3K. Why? Because the world is full of idiots.
(Note: that is not an insult directed at Star Trek fans, but at MST3K non-fans.)
I wish I had more money!
