Bill Rebane's Invasion from Inner Earth

(aka Hell Fire; aka They.) As @CMWaters mentioned in the Turkey Day thread, the Giant Spider Invasion is not even the worse of the two Bill Rebane movies MST3K has shown. Could there be worse? Submitted for your approval, I give you the film he made the year before. Written by his wife Barbara, this may be the finest science fiction film made in northern Wisconsin in 1974 featuring snowmobiles.

For some reason, this film is in the public domain. Enjoy, if possible.

This movie is still a virgin, isn’t it?

I swear I saw this at least once before but at over 90% padding it gives the long term memory little to latch onto.

Thing is I found The Alpha Incident and The Game (which I saw as The Cold) pretty watchable Rebanes. But this one is new to me and has gone straight into the queue:

:astonished:

At this point, Bill Rebane is getting up there with Bert I. Gordon and Roger Corman eliciting visceral reactions with me among MSTied-movie directors.

He has a very particular set of skills.

Good thing Coleman Francis’s filmography as a director is done then.
