If the interwebs are to be believed, “Average Fahrenheit Between 424 and 475” would be a more accurate but less catchy title.

Ray Bradbury claims that book is about the evils of television. It’s why I don’t put much stock in an author’s intent over the general interpretation.

Seriously, this raises the additional question: if the impossible ever happens and we get an official DVD/streaming release of Attack of the the Eye Creatures, it has to be titled as Attack of the the Eye Creatures, right?

I mean, it’s RIGHT THERE. Why should that be corrected? It should stand on its own.

Took me an embarrassingly long while, but I see what you did there. :fire:

Why is assembling flat-pack furniture so awful?

The impossible can’t happen, that’s why it is impossible. If something can happen, it is just improbable.

How did After the Fire learn the phrase “alles klar, Herr Komissar” but not know how to pronounce “ja ja?”

Is there a season pass for the next season available already? Will that be a Kickstarter? I may have missed some of these things as I have been ill. What all is going on?

So far no news about season 14 other than the fact there will be a season 14.

Joel mentioned during the KS for season 13 that he didn’t want to do crowdfunding for every season so hopefully they made enough money from season passes and selling the episodes to other outlets to avoid that.

Hope you’re feeling better now!

Thank you for the information and the well wishes. I am doing a bit better but still getting over a post-operative infection. The fun keeps on rolling.

It’s a surprisingly difficult question to answer.

I don’t think they time travelled, I think the implication is that, apart from Crow, everybody lived at the edge of the universe for 500 years as beings of pure something. At one point, they suggested that Servo got up to some pretty intense adventures that had at least one alien hunting him down for his hoard of rice pudding. But eventually they were pulled back to the SOL by a force that I don’t think they ever explained.

Crow was already there, in corporeal form, apparently living on his own so long that he’d forgotten who Mike was. Apparently Crow had meandered his way back to Earth and they arrived just in time to prevent him from crashing into it, but pulling the emergency brake wrecked the ship’s transmission, so they were unable to regain control of it until they finally convinced the nanites to fix it.

As for Pearl, she raised Clayton from a star baby, but she neglected him again and he grew up to once again be a mad scientist. She ended up smothering him to death (literally), and decided that she was going to blame his death on Mike and vowed revenge against him. When Pearl died, she had herself frozen. Some 500 years later, after humanity was wiped out and apes took over the Earth, Pearl was discovered and rejuvenated by the apes, who named her their Lawgiver.

It’s all kind of fast and loose, and it’s not necessarily going to make sense, but those are the events the show laid out.

Okay. I’ve got a good one for y’all. What are the lyrics Servo sings at the beginning of Catching Trouble?

“Come along with me, baby then you’ll see
My harnesses and my nets
Hey, catching trouble, you and me,
Catching trouble, baby you can’t see,
Catching trouble, [fill in the blank]”
