I might end up feeling really dumb for asking this, but I JUST noticed the chat button at the top of the forum (second from left in the screen shot). Has that always been there? Is it new? I swear I don’t remember ever seeing it before tonight.

No, I noticed it this afternoon, and of course, tried to open and use it…it seems we need a “channel” set up.

I have no chat button so yeah I’m guessing it’s pretty new
refreshed page and there it is
meaning it was added some time since I last refreshed the site. Which could have been days ago.

New shiny thing! It looks like there is a private chat feature now. I can see this used in the revised Theater in place of Arena.im.

If this is for live streams, a single chat might be unusable, just based on the chats from the Kingadome, which had 3 chat rooms and the main chat was flying by at a speed of 9.8m/s^2!

There may be tools in this one that can slow things down, members can only post every 30 seconds or something. I don’t know that for certain, mind. Considering the vast majority of people couldn’t even get Arena to work (it never worked on my computer) this is a better option from the standpoint that everyone can at least access it. 
We’ll have to wait and see, I guess.

Ooh, that would be helpful! I was able to get into the Arena chat on the same computer as the Kingadome was playing from…until about 2/3 through the season, then I had to open it in (gods…was it Edge? Possibly Chrome) a different browser to be able to get in. Not sure what happened in the interim.
Can’t wait to try the new chat!
