Don’t White Superman and Black Superman’s powers cancel each other out?
So the cover for the comic that comes with the preorder version of the MvC Collection has been revealed at this year’s Pax. The art is by Todd Nauck who you may know from the MST3K comic
I never liked what they did to Scott Summers. Yeah, he always had his issues but they didn’t have to turn him into THE biggest duck on the planet.
He was surpassed by The Beast during the Krakoa era, where he took asshattery to new heights.
I don’t know what they’re thinking. I thought being the jerk of Marvel was Reed Richards job.
Checked this out from the library, received some good reviews but I’m finding it corny and heavy handed. Nice cover, though.
The Gail Simone run is definitely the golden age of Birds of Prey.
The unreliable narrator to end all unreliable narrators.
Dude, you just wanted to kill a lot of people, mostly women, and needed the most elaborate and self-centered justification for it you could devise. Putz.
Gail Simone is great. Her story for the end (not that I figured she realized it at the time) of the Reboot Legion was good stuff.
Her BoP run is what got me back into superhero comics (for a while) for the first time since I was a kid in the 70s.
Speaking of classic runs, I’ve just started the Levitz/ Giffen run of Legion Of Super-Heroes. Good stuff!
Trying this now, first TPB - Hulk as a horror comic works pretty well, but it bogged down for me with all the green door stuff, I don’t know why, just had a Geoff Johns multi-colored Lanterns thing where it gets too convoluted for its own good, even if there are some good stories that come out of it.
Anyway, this series comes out of that stuff. First issue was all right, but I seem to be very hard to please of late with the Marvel/DC releases. Aside from Moon Knight, I have 2 more trades to read from that run, I should go back to them.
