Episodes 401-405: Share your screenshots and favorite riffs!

As a refresher:

You can submit one to three screenshots in comments on each post. Please keep your images at minimum 800px x 600px and 72 dpi. File type does not matter. YES, screenshots of host segments are welcome too!

If you’d ALSO like to throw in a favorite riff, choose one that’s relatively short. Remember to include the timestamp of where it happens in the episode. Ideally the riff should make sense when used in context with the screenshot(s) you’ve chosen. Riffs are optional, though, and if you’d rather just share screenshots, that is fine too.

All of this info will be collected and may be used in the Gizmoplex library! Your contributions are greatly appreciated, even if you can’t participate on every post. There’s zero pressure to do EVERY episode. Whatever you can do will help.

Random thought: I remember being just absolutely shocked when I realized there’s another MST’d Ben Murphy movie out there and it’s from back in the Joel era.

He isn’t very mellow in this, though.

One of the best riffs of the episode as Joel talks over the DJ: “All right, for today’s crazy call, we’re gonna call Ben Murphy and tell him we got a good part for him!”

Being From Another Planet also has an underrated credit riff. Where they review previous experiments and try to measure up if it’s as worse as this one (Though it is quaint they consider this such a measuring stick since we know what’s soon to come).

That end credit riff is serious continuity joy. And I have to give them respect for having Servo concede that The Castle of Fu Manchu is just as bad as Being from Another Planet.

But yeah, you have to laugh knowing that both Monster a Go-Go AND Manos are comin’.

I can’t believe no one has posted the lobst… I mean monster! I show this movie to all my friends because it is so ridiculous and wornderful.

With or without riffing, it is a TRIP. The growling giant lobster is everything.

It makes for a great Season 4 double-feature with The Giant Gila Monster.

Space Travelers - 12:16 - It’s Pac-Man - Joel

(I couldn’t find the riff where Trace has Peck trying to get the bebe in the bears eye, that line always cracked me up, don’t know if the cap would be of interest however)

City Limits

The intro was always funny with all the callback (Frank singing, “I sing wherever I sing…”) Crow pulls out the line from the first stinger “Help Me” and Joel says, “Jeeper Creepers You’ve Got Crows Peepers!” - at 2:25

And then there’s Morriseey, did he mention that he cried? 5:41 -

This is another shot of Servo with Crows eyes, shows off the eyes better, but Joel is looking down, not a great shot of him, but here it is…

I also capped an earlier shot of Morrissey, before he sang.

Trace is stifling giggles big time in those screenshots!
