Secret Agent Super Dragon: sorely underrated episode or SORELY UNDERRATED EPISODE?
As a refresher:
You can submit one to three screenshots in comments on each post. Please keep your images at minimum 800px x 600px and 72 dpi. File type does not matter. YES, screenshots of host segments are welcome too!
If you’d ALSO like to throw in a favorite riff, choose one that’s relatively short. Remember to include the timestamp of where it happens in the episode. Ideally the riff should make sense when used in context with the screenshot(s) you’ve chosen. Riffs are optional, though, and if you’d rather just share screenshots, that is fine too.
All of this info will be collected and may be used in the Gizmoplex library! Your contributions are greatly appreciated, even if you can’t participate on every post. There’s zero pressure to do EVERY episode. Whatever you can do will help.
502 Hercules 503 Swamp Diamonds 504 Secret Agent Super Dragon 505 The Magic Voyage Of Sinbad (Sadko) 506 Eegah
Super Dragon is a SORELY UNDERRATED EPISODE - all these experiments make my top 100, save for Swamp Diamonds (which is a bit underwhelming for me, despite having Beverly and Marie in the cast - top notch short however).
Y’all are hitting the highlights on Eegah pretty nicely (though it’s a treasure trove, you could practically screengrab the whole darned thing) so I’ll give Dragon a whirl
around 3:10 - Joel takes a bat to the bots Robot - very funny scene, Joel’s reaction was hilarious.
1:27:19, shortly after, the riff… “Senator Hollings get off the line” - Crow (earlier in the episode they noted that the boss there looked like a super marionations “Fritz” Hollings, and he really did)
EDIT: I need an adult!!! So the images read as 690x388 in the image upload, but show up as 1920×1080 when I review my post… Am I doing this right? I honestly don’t know anymore…
All moments are from the musical sequence in the film. I think they are all in the first half hour, if I’m wrong they are all in the second half hour. Screencapped from the clip of just this scene on Mystery Science Theater 3000’s Youtube Channel. Then resized and exported at 3000px by 2200px and 200 dpi in Amadine vector graphic app. Even held shift button while dragging the resize to try to preserve resolution and minimize introduction of noise to the image.
