On the MST3K front, we can’t forget about the Notorious B.I.G. himself, Bert I. Gordon, still going strong at 100!

We lost Chapman a while ago. But, more recently Terry Jones… R.I.P.

But Cleese, Idle, Palin & Gilliam are still with us!

Can I just say that I love John Astin with the fire of a thousand suns?

He taught us how to live with passion in The Addams Family and, if that’s not enough, brought us joy in the Killer Tomatoes sequels and The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr..

Don’t forget Night Court!

Michael Douglas is 78, but his father made it to 104, so he might have a long way to go still.

We all know he’s going to go off and rule the universe from beyond the grave, but not yet!

Gotta agree with Mel Brooks, David Attenborough, and John Astin in particular.

Jazz saxophonist Sonny Rollins is 92. One of my true musical heroes, I was lucky enough to see him in concert a few times in the early part of this century. A Sonny Rollins concert was always a remarkable experience.

Several years ago, I sent birthday cards to a lot of my jazz favorites who were getting up there in years. I was absolutely astounded when one day in the mail I received a hand written thank you note from Sonny Rollins! Truly a class act.

Although he is retired now, his music will always be important to me.
