I’m reading Phil Manzanera’s autobiography and he mentions Peter Sinfield doing some producing for the old Roxy Music and he’s apparently still alive! He also wrote lyrics for the first King Crimson album
Cinematographer Vittorio Storaro is 83. He has won three Academy Awards for his work on Apocalypse Now, Reds and The Last Emperor. I mentioned him the baseball thread, but fan favorite Stormin’ Gorman Thomas and his sideburns and mustache is 73
I had a boss who was from Wisconsin who adored Gorman. While best known as a Brewer, he also had some highs in Seattle.

Also celebrating a birthday today…?
Oh, my! Happy Birthday, George Takei!
One of my all-time favorite players. I think I’ve posted some links of his before but I don’t remember anyone biting.
He survived his also-talented wife: the wonderful Sathima Bea Benjamin.
Their daughter is the should-be-better-known hiphop artist Jean Grae.
