What about THIS version of the song?

This one gets me. Especially the line “a prayer for peace on Earth within our time.”

Every year I get hooked on’s Christmas Lounge.

There’s loads of standards and some remixes. Lots of electronic covers with echos of Christmas past, such as King Kooba playing O Christmas Tree.

There’s a newer channel I need to try, “A Department Store Christmas”. It’s all elevator music. It sounds simultaneously dull and hypnotically nostalgic.

This is one of my favorite lesser known Christmas songs. It’s from the A John Waters Christmas CD, which is well worth seeking out. Any doo wop fans in the house?

I think the best version of Carol of the Bells has to be this:

Me and my dad LOVE listening to this song every year.

A song from 5 years ago, but it still feels relevant today –

Oh man, somebody beat me to the Dropkick Murphys one.

I’ve always liked this:

And I will be the one to post it: (Was always sad they never made a video of this, but I think the band broke up before they could.)

My playlist is choc full of Der Bingle and other hits from the forties. Tis the season!!

(I’m just kidding.)

Brave Combo has become a cherished part of my holidays –

Because I spent ten years in retail and long ago exceeded the recommended lifetime exposure limit to most of the Christmas standards, I present…

To finish things off for now, a few of Andy Cirzan’s Holiday Obscura collections.

I absolutely love The Boss’s rendition of Santa Claus Is Coming to Town Clarenace’s sax is so good and he even gets some vocals!

I think you meant to post the YouTube link:
