I have been to the promised land!

No correct guesses yet… geographically I think Eden Prairie is actually the closest guess so far.

Another hint: the historical incident involved a bank.

Was there a two-way thing during a shoot-out?

Ha! Sadly, no. Hopkins is a suburb of Minneapolis, this is slightly further afield. I did go to White Castle in Bloomington, which is pretty close to Hopkins…

Lutsen, MN? Otherwise I’m al tapped out of ideas

Nope, that’s about 300 miles too far north

Okay final clue. The shootout involved the Jesse James gang.

I’d love to go to Minnesota. Just have no clue on what I would do when I got there.

There’s a thread on here from months ago on that subject. Someone posted a mystery picture. :sunglasses:

Well that’s easy, you’ve got to find the Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota

Spoiler alert: I have been to the Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota
sign in front of the ball of twine saying it weights 17,400 pounds

Seriously though a nice place to visit is Bemidji, where the headwaters of the Mississippi River originate. It’s shallow enough to wade across without getting your knees wet, and then you can bore people at parties by saying you walked across the Mississippi.

and as a bonus you can visit one of America’s many giant Paul Bunyan statues
