I was born in the same year as the following mst3k original movie(s) came out

San Francisco International. Also, the year Marooned got its Oscar. Truly auspicious.

I was getting discouraged and thought it would be ā€œnone of the aboveā€ for me. But it looks like San Francisco International for me. There are quite a few 69 and 71 movies. But 70 seems to be a bad year for bad movies.

Hmmm, letā€™s seeā€¦

  • Fugitive Alien
  • Mighty Jack
  • Devil Fish

And if weā€™re including the Tour films

  • No Retreat, No Surrender

Small, but not a bad line-up. I can live with those.

Ah, we are the same age, then, because I was just looking and thatā€™s what I noticed, too. Only movies from the KTMA season. The Pumaman was close at 1980 and a few in 1982 (including Cave Dwellers), but not many. I guess that means that only stellar movies were released in 1981.

Blood Waters of Dr. Z (release, not completion)
Ator, the Fighting Eagle (wait, two Ator movies came out the same year?!)

1970 also. So, just San Francisco International.

Yeah, 1970 looks dry for bad movies. Funny though, 1969 looked like a treasure trove.

A banner year:

The Atomic Brain
The Creeping Terror
The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies
Kitten with a Whip
Santa Claus Conquers the Martians
Teen-Age Strangler

But not a John Banner year! He appears to have mostly just been in walk on roles as this was before Hoganā€™s Heroes would skyrocket him to stardom!
