Ibsen sketch?

I’m trying to find the episode with a sketch riffing on Henrik Ibsen. It had something to do with counting boards on a pier, and it was Mike Nelson era. Does anyone remember this? I hope I didn’t just dream it, because it was very funny and I want to see it again.

They were riffing on Ingmar Bergman (and Sven and Olie jokes and an ad for Schlitz from the 70s and 80s), not Henrik Ibsen. And the episode was The Sword and the Dragon. It’s probably the most obscure thing they ever did.

I had forgotten about the shout-outs to Strindberg and Ibsen! Good catch!

Yes, that’s it! I only half remembered, as usual. Thank you very much. Made my day.

Stellar first post - asking about something show-related (and thankfully not inciting a riot to answer first) and giving us a collective wave of nostalgia remembering this awesome sketch.

Welcome!

To which I wonder if they all knew they were living on borrowed time after this aired…
