Yeah, it’s usually $479…PLUS the YouTube TV subscription which is $73 a month. If I don’t HAVE to pay the stupid $73/month on top of the Sunday Ticket…I’m in!

I received my letter today that I qualify for burial in a VA national cemetery, 8 weeks after applying.
I’m sure that the long lead time is because it’s a ‘pre-need’ situation, not a ‘starting to smell’ situation.
I don’t remember how long it took to get authorization for dad. We weren’t in a rush because we were dealing with mom (she was not handling things well, or even at all, really), and it was quite some time before we stuffed his ashes into a hole in a wall.
I also note that you can pre-enter and print out the form to include information you want on your headstone or marker. Everything you would enter now would be on your DD-214, and easy for someone fill in, but there may be something in Box 18. ADDITIONAL INSCRIPTION/TERM OF ENDEARMENT you specifically want.

Thanks, if you can get past the twenty or so times he says “America” in the first few minutes, it’s really cool. I never realized the Hacksaw Ridge connection to the unit. It’s hard to believe people like that lived, live, and work for us ! As an “old guy”, I can relate to being overlooked and underestimated.
