I’m not convinced, the look is all wrong for Sinbad.
The true answer to this question is the first person ever to play Sinbad in an English-language film…
Shemp Howard, of the Three Stooges. Yes, that’s him. No, it wasn’t a comedy (1942 film Arabian Nights).
Shemp, being at least Semitic, is the closest we’ve ever come to having Sinbad be played by an actual Arab in Hollywood.
He was also the beautiful angel in Barbarella, the cool super thief in Diabolik, and in his greatest role, played a hippie in Skidoo
Nobody disqualifies John Phillip Law… nobody
I can see your confusion, but you understand, of course, that Sinbad signed his name in the ancient Sumerian language. Translated, the inscription reads, “To Akbar, May all your sins be good ones! Sinbad”
After reviewing the other candidates, I think I agree. Shemp Howard is Sinbad.
That’s Santo. Or maybe Sampo. Oh, heck, I can’t tell anymore!
I had to watch this again after seeing this post. It is still a good movie. Caroline Munro does the best possible with what little she is given. The other actors are competent. It is probably the best of the Sinbad movies(I have 7 in my collection).
A redo of the plot with current CGI would be welcome.
Figuring out who Sinbad is be like.
Well now, ya didn’t hear it from me, but there’s a rumor going around that
Came here to post this. Kudos, colleague.
He is not Sinbad; he’s Sinbad’s monster.
Sinbad: tl;dr the Bible?
Are you sure that’s not Shazaam?
It’s certainly not Shazzan.
Where are you from?
