WOW $115??? That’s insane! The snake mug, meanwhile is only $75!
@Greengreatlabcoat What is the snake mug called? I wanna see the mug auction, please.
And is it just a mug? Or is it the snake gun?
It’s the mug and the snake pops out of it.
On second thought, I think THIS is the Watch Out for Snakes book I have, not the script book afterall… I do remember them advertising the script book during intermission though.
Ah. Okay. Yeah. They did have those. I passed because for the price of both of those I was more than halfway to the giant snake. Deep breath
HOW MANY BOOKS WERE THERE?!
Glaring noises
Guess I gotta look for that one too. Though I think I just forgot about that one. I can’t imagine they wouldn’t have that at all sites.
Btw, the show I got the script book was at the next to last show of the tour, Nashville.
Since the publication was printed by CreateSpace, which is a form of vanity press by way of Amazon, I wonder if perhaps they had a limited supply and printed more as the tour went along, which could explain not having some at particular shows (although probably they just needed to ship them out to the next stop of the tour).
I could swear I saw a second script book at the Nashville show, but now that the picture book has been brought up, maybe that’s what I’m thinking of.
Still in stock on Amazon! Added to cart!
Fun fact: the script book used the first draft (or at least very early drafts) of the riff and sketch scripts. So my memory is that what ended up onstage in the show was often quite different than what’s in the book. Still a great souvenir though!
The logisitcs of having everything with them at every stop has to be a nightmare; doubly so now, but am thinking also true in the past. Glad that some items can still be got, though yeah… as with other aspects of fandom (gonna keep to mst3k) folks who ‘speculate’ are an issue. You see that in many ways… talk to some of the folks who are trying to get bot parts here, too (Yes I’m one of them…)
Sort of relarted- not sure if this forum has any sort of take on it, but in other forums it’s been considered bad form to post auctions that aren’t yours, in trying in some way to minimize the eyes on, not feed the speculators, or… well you can suss the reasons. In this grouop it is far more likely to land with someone who has a deep appreciation for the item, inst of letting it merely languish and be forgotten, or $$ to $$$, etc. These bits of ‘Stuff’ should be read, worn, listened to, hung on walls, shot across rooms, stuck on fridges, dropped, dog-eared, words read off their pages, pin-holes in corners…
Anyway, back to numbers of books-- I’m getting awfuly close to just building out forms and pages that collect info on this/related, I have brain cells to sepnd on the mechanisms first. But time is an issue… I hope this ends up in a sweet spot for folks to refer to.
My apologies for not following forum protocol, those links were the easiest way to share an image with the discussion.
!!! Oh I flubbed sorry- I have no idea whatsoever if this group has that notion or not— it’s very easy to say, ‘Hey share openly for the community and hope things get to those who will love/appreciate/get the most from them’ and that tends to be the most welcoming take, but in this day and age of… well all else around that, just might be something to hash out.
If you need help lemmy know. I would love to have a full merch list.
I think probably the easiest way to compile a full merch list would be for everyone to just show off their merch… for one thing, I was surprised to find out that there was also a BLUE foam “it stinks” hand, mine’s black! I’m tempted to get a blue one off ebay.
Huh. Mine is blue. I haven’t seen a black one.
Thanks, Tim! Not surprising at all to hear that changes would be made, especially for a live show. And, even in this early form it’s a great read.
But now you HAVE to do an updated version of the book for everyone!
Like just a xeroxed copy with handwritten changes all over the place.
Wow no only 7. Now if i an still kicking when she is 70 i will be impressed
