Already looks twice as funny as most 1970s D-sn-y live action.
I hope they used the same lemon grove that The Incredible Melting Man made famous to cinema buffs everywhere.

I’d love the weird inception of working on a riff of Happytime Murders.
There’d have to be some heavy editing on that film to make it appropriate for MST3K.
Having just read an article on Maria Montez, I’d like to see the team take on The Invisible Woman. Cast includes John Barrymore, Margaret Hamilton, and Shemp Howard(!) .
Her film Cobra Woman could also be a good candidate. It has just the right feel and casting for a Jungle Goddess kind of affair.
I almost feel bad recommending this because it was one of my Mom’s favorite movies, but The Barbarians (1987) would be a lot of fun I think. I mean, I riffed it a lot over the years. It kinda has a Cave Dwellers vibe going on.
Here’s the trailer. The Barbarians (1987) Original Trailer [FHD] - YouTube
There was a live-action-for-TV Alice Through The Looking Glass from 1966. Kind of incredible how much 1966 has to apologize for besides me. [clears throat] Anyway, it was rebroadcast a time or two in the Seventies or Eighties, because I remember watching a few minutes at the start but never getting all the way through.
Because of my confusion about when it was made, it took a while to find. Worth looking up for one. big. reason.
[dramatic pause]
Jack Palance IS The Jabberwock
Tell me to my face that you would not sell your soul right now to get riffs of Jack Palance as The Jabberwock.
Any and All Michael Bay films, especially the transformer movies, I am not sure who did more damage to the franchise, the original movie from the 80’s where they killed off old characters cuz they wanted to introduce new toys, or the Bay era films. All are cringeworthy, but that “you got the touch” song is pretty bad. Also if Rodimus Prime isnt a PRON name I dont know what is!
I feel like the big problem with that (other than licensing) is that all you could say is “This is so visually incoherent and overwhelming” over and over and over again, at least when you’re not barfing from the 20 cuts per second.
I certainly can’t argue with that that is an extremely accurate description.
Electric Dragon 80 000 V
The 2003 Sumuru movie with Michael Shanks in.
How dare you speak such heresay!
Yes, I love that song unironically.
Ditto! I love that whole soundtrack
Yes, this short technically has just been riffed by Josh Way, but I’m curious how either Emily or Jonah’s team would handle it. While not on the same level as Catching Trouble, it’s still very full of questionable decisions regarding animals.
Since all this spy-mania made me think of Telefon, here’s the trailer. Showtime was hyping this movie about every six minutes when we first got cable. But I don’t remember if I watched it all the way through or not:
Oh please oh please let this somehow be an Alternaversal acquisition someday soon.
A cold war scam, and more Pleasence ham
It must be fine, because they rhyme…
Not sure why I thought Lee Remick was Glen Close at first, but I did.
Definitely this one looks to be very riffable by someone whether it be MST3K, Rifftrax, or another.
I bet The Mads could also have a field day with it… The ultimate Seventies cheese, but with a respectable budget to make the silliness more palatable than usual.
Funny enough, MovieBob has pretty much made a collection of movies that should be riffed. Once a year in October, he has made essay videos to talk about weird/interesting shlocky movies that are riff heaven. In fact, Doctor Modrid and The Batwoman were in this series at one point.
