When we get rich we’re going to build a castle with its very own Meat Trap for Medio to play with.
Feels like it will not be very hard to get Raegar interested in coming down here for a look-see when we get the chance to arrange it. The hard part will be getting him out again!
The hard part will be defending our legal ownership of this place.
I’m okay with Mart’s position. Unless Johnny wants to move up.
Inasmuch as we have none whatsoever, yeah. That has also been in the back of Dory’s mind as she reaches out to the local authorities to establish some stronger bona fides.
OOC: Everything looks good. I’ve got a busy day ahead, so I won’t be able to check in until later. You can use Coleman to your discretion if you need to act/ move before I get back. @Ajax can roll for me, he’s got a better grip in the bonuses than I do, anyway !
Bonnie magicks open the door to reveal a room crammed with machinery:
The two hounds are currently hooked up and being wound, so they will start with the entangled condition until they take a move action to disengage themselves. On the far side of the room are three levers, all in the down position. In front of them stands a soldier on standby. The soldier immediately activates (swift action) and brandishes it’s halberd.
Party Init:
Bonnie 22
Medio 21
Torgo 20
LA 16
Coleman 16
Cuthbert 10
Johnny 7
Mart 6
Dory 3
@AndrewCrossett it is Bonnie’s turn.
She’s a bit reluctant to use her other memorized Shocking Grasp when there are probably tougher enemies in the other room. She’s got one in her scroll case too, but can’t use the rod of reach with that one.
But… these things require a lot of damage, so she goes ahead with the SG.
To hit: 10 + 2 (BAB) + 1 (DEX) + 3 (metal) = 16
Damage if it hits: 3 + 4 + 6 + 2 + 2 + 2 (intense spells) = 19 + 10 = 29
Targeting the Soldier, right? That got left out of the picture.
Just checking, did LA take the “Always Get the Same Initiative as Another Character” Feat with his new level?
Yes, at the Soldier.
Maybe he did. Wanna fight about it?
(We’d obviously have the same init if you say yes to that question)

That’s good enough for a touch attack.

Damage if it hits: 3 + 4 + 6 + 2 + 2 + 2 (intense spells) = 19 + 10 = 29
The Soldier is shocked for 29hp, not quite as good as the last time Bonnie got the drop on one of these guys, but not bad at all.
These hounds are quick, though (I put in a stand in that matches their init). Hound 2 uses it’s move action to disengage from the machine, and then uses it’s standard action to move toward the door.
@EBK it is Medio’s turn.
ETA: added a blue border around the Hound that is still entangled, BTW, they provoke an AOO when the disengage from the winder.
Amy chance Medio can see Hound2?
He can, but the hound has cover from that angle, so it gets a +4 to AC against ranged attacks.
Would that cover affect a Magic Missile?
Assuming this works, Medio casts Magic Missile at Hound2.
Damage: 4+5=9

Would that cover affect a Magic Missile?
Magic missiles do not make and attack roll, so they are good.

Assuming this works, Medio casts Magic Missile at Hound2.
Damage: 4+5=9
The hound takes a pair of magic missiles to the snout, taking full damage.
Torgo follows suit, casting magic missile at the hound, and doing 3+4=7 damage.
@Vader LA is up next.

ZOMG I JUST GOT MY KS REWARDS SHIPPING CONFIRMATION EMAIL!
Update: Scheduled for delivery tomorrow morning, huzzah!
At this time, LA is going to defer his turn until there is something he can do.
