These are more or less immutable for me, and carefully arranged to reflect my status as Host Wars C.O.

  • Secret Agent Super Dragon

  • Puma Man

  • The Magic Sword

  • Outlaw of Gor

  • Star Force: Fugitive Alien II

  • Alien from L.A.

  • Crash of the Moons

  • Escape 2000

  • The Viking Women and the Sea Serpent

  • The Sword and the Dragon

Once I move downward into the 11th-to-100th range, things might be more in flux and dependent on my daily mood.

Top 10, in chronological series order:

  • Robot Monster
  • Catalina Caper
  • Cave Dwellers
  • Fugitive Alien (season 3 riff)
  • Gamera vs Guiron (season 3 riff)
  • Warrior of the Lost World
  • Overdrawn at the Memory Bank
  • The Pumaman
  • Final Justice
  • Reptilicus

This was a much harder exercise than I imagined. Although I started out by thinking of my favorite riffs, quite a few of those episodes were discarded in favor of what I thought was a better overall episode. For example, Reptilicus does not have my favorite riffs from Jonah’s seasons, but “Every Country has a Monster” makes that episode shine for me. It set the tone for the season, and assured me that I could just relax, MST3K had returned and was in the right hands.

lol If you search “Puma Man Sure Deodorant Commercial” on YT, you can connect him with an even more inane melody from (I presume) before his most famous role.

The Dead Talk Back would def be an honorable mention for me simply for the segment where Leon shows us all his little projects.

“It’s hard for him to make friends I think…” is one of the greatest Nelson riffs for me
