I can’t pretend this is a great photo, but still. My dad took it near his home in the Cheviot Hills, and it was a strange sight, captured as well as was possible (we were in a car and there wasn’t anywhere to park up for a better shot).

More likely, a mechanically-spread circular strewing of food.
Still, it was weird to see then and it is weird looking back at it now.
