I love macro photography and I get poppies in my yard so I’ll probably have some close ups to share as well
that tree looks like a banana slug!
From one of our hikes in Glacier National Park:
The water was really clear-
It was super pretty.
The falls were nice too:
Really don’t think you could take a bad picture of the place…
Gorgeous! Glacier is one of my top five favorite national parks.
I went to Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper a couple of years ago. Gorgeous place. Here’s a sampling from Jasper (more later):
Oh wow. Glacier is amazing. It’s on my list to go back and spend about a week there.
I took these while riding through on a train. I can’t wait to go back through and get some good stuff.
I finally got Lightroom straightened out! I hereby promise not to post my own pics in this thread more than once a day (rolls over at midnight Pacific time).
This is the base of a coastal redwood tree in Big Basin Redwoods State Park, close to where I live. This photo was taken in 2000. I’m glad I went back just a couple of years ago; not long after that, a fire burned 86,000 acres, including 97% of the park.
Rowena Crest, Columbia River Gorge
I’m glad I backtracked on Old Highway 30. I missed this yesterday.
I have a lot of stuff from this trip in my old camera, but I have to get home before I can download.
We went to Shenandoah this last spring. Got there right after a big storm hit, so everything was cold, wet and mostly foggy.
It made for some lovely pictures, though-
But it did clear up the higher we went (though it still looked pretty ominous):
A bunch from a trip to Arizona in 2006:
Sedona:
The San Fransisco Peaks near Flagstaff:
Just north of the petrified forest
And some petrified forest:
The Grand Canyon at sunset:
Flying over the Grand Canyon:
The east entrance to the Grand Canyon:
Some old pictures from random places.
Lake Charles, Louisiana :
Creole nature trail, Hackberry Louisiana:
Orange Texas:
New Braunfels Texas:
Definitely want to bring my mountain bike down to Sedona sometime. Never been and it looks beautiful.
I didn’t know they had bayous in Texas! That’s cool
Your first two and last photos are just showing broken image icons though.
Here’s the coolest part of my Lake Louise stop. When we got there, the clouds were so thick that we couldn’t see the mountains at all.
But halfway through our hike, this happened:
And when we got back down:
It was amazing. Honestly, the pictures don’t do it justice. It was an amazing experience.
There are a lot of places like that up here =) I dont recognize it straight off, but I’ll keep my eyes peeled.
