Actually, it isn’t a service animal. By law, a service animal is one that is trained to perform a service. “Emotional support” animals aren’t included.
A lot of people who want to bring their pets into places where they aren’t allowed are making trouble for people with actual service animals by trying this kind of thing, or by just falsely claiming that it’s a service animal.
