Sitting on the porch of your life looking out at the world, are you at peace with with what you see? Is enough sunlight getting through? Have you enough space and separation from the hustle and bustle? This is a metaphor. The porch is you and what would you remodel if you could? Or would it stay exactly the same? Is your porch Clint Eastwood’s or the next Showcase Showdown?

The porch needs fresh weather sealing. Been meaning to do that.
Beyond the porch, I don’t like what I see but it’s beyond one person’s control and change is inevitable. Maybe some inevitable change will make the view prettier at some point. Until then, or regardless of it never happening, just gonna embrace the chaos.
And, if the world explodes, at least I have a good scenic view from over here.

Drinking a beer on the porch with a good friend has some kind of affect way different than drinking a beer any other place. Hanging out and having a drink was always better on the porch. It just hit you in a different way. I miss hanging out on the porch with friends.
