Once I was able to download them all, I plugged the flashdrive into the TV and let them play one after the other. It was a blast; I highly recommend it.
And they played in random order, so that added another fun spin on the shorts-a-thon.

I still need to do that. I’ve downloaded the episodes to play locally, but not the shorts. Sounds like a good post-dinner activity.

I haven’t voted because I need to go back and re-watch a few of them, but I kind of feel like Mr. B Natural has an unfair advantage here. We have 20-something years of history with Mr. B, and even though this was a new riff, that’s going to influence people’s viewing of it.
Not saying that if this was our first viewing of the short it wouldn’t still be gold, just that it brought in decades of pre-existing love for it.

Yeah, though I’m a little surprised it’s doing as well as it is because I had the opposite reaction. I felt the original overshadowed it… “Yeah, it’s good, but not as good” type of thing. Despite the fun of Max and Kinga riffing, its history might have worked against it, rather than for it, in my case.

Yeah, that was tough—aside from Cavalcade. What a full-on bonkers pile of WTF that thing is, with a Folksmen “Navajo Rug” riff from Larry on top.

The riffs of the ruined print of Better Breakfast show just how good-hearted the MST3K family is, especially now in the age of the White Dot. As if to say “Yeah, we’ve been through it but we still find amusement in it happening to others, especially when it’s such a different variation

The Mads did it as well, and while I’m not sure where I’d rank it, Frank’s “God damnit” in response to Mr. Bs “Blasphemy!” had me in stitches. So, there’s something good n funny in all of them.
