I’m starting to get a very Eagle Eye (2008) or Person of Interest vibe from this trailer. The repeating eye motif? The mumurating point cloud background screens? “His fate has already been written”? Seems like an A.I. observing, predicting, and attempting to control global events to me — just the sort of thing any intelligence agency would have nightmares about while simultaneously doing everything possible to obtain or get rid of.

I’m no Criswell when it comes to predicting the future and, yet, I feel very certain that, at some point in the next year, I will stumble upon this Barbie movie while incredibly high and sit there for the duration, staring at the screen like a dog that’s been shown a card trick.
