But it was due to Wilder’s insistence (including actual tears, apparently) that the hilarious “Puttin’ On the Ritz” scene was left in the movie.

This isn’t a laugh out loud one but a more recent Simpsons has a pretty inciseve take on some problems on how educations systems “update”.
“This school has spent the last 50 years mired in the 1960s. Let’s spend the next 50 mired in now.”
