RIP Mark Lanegan

Have long been a fan of the Screaming Trees & his solo work, but what will bring me the most comfort on dark days is the memories of him forging the Sampo. :black_flag::facepunch:t3::black_heart:

He sang lead or backup on a fair number of QoTSA songs, mostly on both Rated R and Songs for the Deaf, and he was a full time member of the band for several years. Both those albums split the leads up between Josh Homme, Nick Oliveri, and Mark Lanegan. He also sang on a couple songs on Lullabies To Paralyze.

Edit: alas, that lineup was not kidding with “Nicotine, valium, vicadin, marijuana, ecstasy, and alcohol…. Cocaine”

True. Mark & Josh’s on tour shenanigans from the Screaming Trees days are revisited in part in Sing Backwards and Weep.
