Interesting points. It might be an edited version of a longer film instead of the full one? There are certainly a lot of cut versions out there that were edited for later runs in the theater or on television and before anyone says anything, I am old enough to remember silent movies being shown on television. I admit there were not as many, but stations were trying to fill time slots and experimented with all sorts of things.
In addition, the full 1960s War and Peace would be a tad long at 7 hours.
