One can totally microwave wool clothing. It’s fine. Good for helping shrink a wool watchcap to fit one’s skull, provided one doesn’t own a hairdryer or doesn’t want to fire up a tumbling clothes dryer, or hold the item with tongs over an open flame.
Contrariwise, one should avoid placing wool clothing items directly onto a space heater. Something about fuses and electric things or the like.
