When I lived in Chicago in the early 90’s I got to go to one Oprah taping. The main subject was people who had been duped by this guy who claimed to be Burt’s son and he regaled his “victims” with stories about how Loni was the sloppy one and Burt was the neat one. I never understood how that connection got people to give him money, but they did! I did not receive a new car

I have my doubts about Battle Beyond the Stars but I think he pulled some chicanery there. Like, I think he claimed to have spent $5M at the time but now claims it was only $2M. IDK, I just feel like he glossed over some stuff in his book, there.
