Speculation: What's The End Goal of Pearl's Story?

…and Mr. B. (aka Bridget) will lead them all in a rendition of “String Of Pearls”? (oh please oh pleeeeease…)

That’s something I never understood. Episode with Nana Pearl in a hospital bed Dr. F drank something and collapsed. In a different episode, and referenced in the Netflix era, Dr. F turned into a star baby.
A) Nana Pearl raised Dr. F again, and I guess that’s why she’s a grandmother now. It’s been enough time I think from Sci-fi era for it to be probable. Not everyone waits until they’re a legal adult to have children if it’s not. Assuming 20 year difference between generations. NP was 20 when Dr. F was born. Dr. F was in his 20s when he died. NP in her 40s. She raises him again. (Dr. F is 20, NP in her 60s.) Kinga is 18 at Moon 13. Okay, this makes their final ages: NP (78ish), Dr. F (38), & Kinga (18). [*I’m calling the character, not Mary Jo, 78ish.] It’s possible for all of this crazy calculating to work. My own nana was in her 70s when the last of the grandchildren were born. Mine was still capable at that time. I’m sure that there’s a Rejuvenation Chamber for mad scientists. Nothing lasts forever. The youth wears off, maybe a little faster each time. (Reference to the movie Pan) This is why Nana Pearl is feeling her age. That was long.

B) Timey-Wimey Bendy-Wendy. Take an aspirin & Neil De Grasse Tyson will babble it to you. :face_with_head_bandage:

C) It’s just a show. I should really just relax. :roll_eyes:Like that will ever happen.

Welllll…

Pearl said that “when she died”, she had herself frozen, and she woke up in 2525 to find that apes had taken over the world. Which is kind of similar to a procedure referenced in…

Time of the Apes! Near the beginning of the movie, they talk about a cryogenic procedure which not only freezes and preserves the body but actually reverses the effects of aging.

So that’s my headcanon for any weird discrepancies in Pearl’s age. She was frozen that one time.

Yep. She was frozen and Mike and the bots were ethereal energy for a few centuries… but then the time warp at the end of season 8 brought them back to the end of the 20th Century, where they remained for the rest of the original run.

I think Pearl is up to something this season. In Munchie, Pearl tries to convince Kinga to spend quality time together. Kinga is dismissive and states she is not into scrapbooking. “You will be…” says Pearl, to which Kinga replies “That sounded ominous.”

In Gamera vs. Jiger, Pearl has convinced Kinga to leave the SOL in the incapable hands of Max so they can go on a trip together, and we’ve yet to see what disaster that will bring.

Someone said in an earlier forum that relegating Mary Jo Pehl to the role of dutiful grandmother is a waste of her considerable talent, and I have to say I agree. Maybe I’m reaching, but it would be fun to see her turn back into the manipulative Pearl we know and love. If she tried to take the SOL from Kinga, it would be an interesting power dynamic and storyline. What are your thoughts?

Something ain’t right here.

Let’s not forget that there’s two clones of Pearl on the Moon right now. Max doesn’t stand a chance.

I suspect this is a way to allow Synthia and Mega-Synthia to take over as Mads for a little while, which would be cool.

she is 1000000% scheming at something

I have to admit that at first the Season 13 Pearl was a bit unsettling. I missed the old Pearl from the SciFi channel days.

Then I started to appreciate the older, needy, feeling her mortality and trying desperately to form a bond with her only surviving progeny Pearl. When she asked Joel if Clayton ever mentioned her or Kinga, it was kind of sad.

Although as has been pointed out, she seems to be up to… something.

If that’s her evil plot, well done!

Pearl’s going to start her own line of evil fondue sauces. Flavor #1: Circus Peanut.

Flavor 2: those peanut butter+sadness orange- or black-wrapped taffy things. You know the ones.

Also, it’s well within Pearl’s purview to bide her time letting someone else set up the framework for world domination, and then snatch control just when things are getting good. Granddaughter, stepping stone, same difference.

Pearl will actually nurture young Clayton, played here by TV’s Matt McGinnis.

I’ve been trying to figure out since season one who Clayton’s dad is.

I vote for one of the time-traveling swingers from Season 11.

Those guys are totally crafty enough to carry knapsacks full of cool condiments as they roam in search of the perfect space casino lounge.
