The really fun thing is I can’t remember her line when she’s holding it that way, but it’s something like “there isn’t any sign of life.”
I have the TNG Blu-Ray set and periodically watch some episodes, and I’ve just finished the series and swung back around to the pilot.
This episode has a few problems, but one of the biggest is Marina Sirtis’ performance. I think she’s just fine throughout the rest of the series, but here her overacting outdoes even Shatner.
Everyone was trying waaayyy too hard.
