Might I suggest either being able to see the password when setting up an account OR having to type in the password twice, just so one doesn’t make any errors when typing in a password?

That’s been a frequently requested feature change for Discourse. For a while. It’s probably not gonna happen at this point – the devs won’t touch the topic anymore and some will argue that password managers come with browsers now and “just use that”.
