I wonder if I can get it, seeing as how I have xfinity, and . . . I think xfinity is comcast. . .

No. Comcast and Xfinity are the same company but different entities.
Comcast is the cable side. Xfinity is the internet provider side. We have Xfinity as our internet provider, but we cannot access anything that is Comcast because we aren’t a cable subscriber.

Don’t forget NBC (broadcast television and video content like sports, news, shows, etc.), the movie division (Universal, Dreamworks Animation), and the theme park division (Islands of Adventure, et al). Comcast is the very definition of a media conglomerate, right up there with Disney these days.

And NBC owns stations like Sy-Fy, USA, E, and others. Yeah, our media is owned by like three conglomerates. Really, really not good.
