The directors of MST3K appreciation thread

Cool story. The site they filmed “ Creature from the Black Lagoon ” ( Wakulla Springs ) is a great state park with freshwater spring swimming areas and boat/wildlife tours.

There’s an lodge/inn on the site as well, with a restaurant and soda fountain.

No, I don’t work for the tourist office.

Edit: they also filmed “Tarzan’s Secret Treasure” there.

This is the MST3K Board of Directors. They make the big decisions.

That’s what you meant, right?

Oh, no. @timryder , am I going to have hear about the one cool thing you’ve ever done for the rest of our lives.

No, I also play the saxophone. That’s a second cool thing, right?

Depends: alto or tenor?

(You don’t seem like the bari or soprano type, but I’ve been wrong before.)

And we all know what saxophone means.

Doesn’t look to me like a whole lotta’ corned beef was ordered for this meeting, if you get my drift.

Only if you play Baker Street by Gerry Rafferty.

Or “The One You Love” by Glenn Frey.

Alto. Although I had a brief stint playing Bari in junior high. Had a fun time blatting those low notes but it didn’t stick.

I only liked this because “blatting those low notes” is so funny to me.

May I suggest bass trombone? It’s the blattiest!

We got to blat your low notes, my psychiatrist said to me.

The wife doesn’t necessarily like it when I blat my low notes. That seems to be when the air fresheners come out.

And now you’ve turned a perfectly good tribute thread into fart jokes.

I don’t know whether to say you should be ashamed of yourself, or well done.

I found this thread at such the right time.

ARE Fart jokes a fitting tribute to MST3K directors?

I, for one, appreciate that MST3K has generally not gone all-in with the fart jokes. An occasional one here and there and that’s it. I’m not a big fan of body humor in general, but it can be funny if well-placed.

With the one token woman for “diversity,” of course. :woman_facepalming:t3: For that reason, I am very grateful to see more women involved in the current incarnation of MST3K.

As for episode directors, I think they’ve all done a bang-up job (yes, even Jim Mallon), making us laugh with the nightmare fuel they’ve been given.

@timryder and Jonah and everyone else, keep up the good great work!!

Honesty a thread that was ostensibly created to appreciate me (among others) taking a turn to just fart jokes seems pretty appropriate.
