I’m thinking of going out to the garage and trying to find my old sketchbooks full of half-baked fanart. Still trying to get my nerve up, though. And I don’t mean because of the darkness and spiders. I can carry a flashlight and wear gloves for them but I’m not sure if my brain will stay unbroken after being reminded of what I was flailing at 30-35 years ago.

No. Only about half, if memory serves.
For real: wasn’t there a line in Beyond: Atlantis about Forge and Magneto fighting without shirts? A buddy of mine ran an APA in the pre-internet days and I’m pretty sure someone on the writing staff had a copy of our magazine on hand last year.
