Just paid for my ticket. Movie looks like a winner for the Mads. It’s directed by Sam Newfield, whose movies have shown up a few times on MST - Lyle Talbot’s been riffed on as well.
Rachel Lichtman, from Programme 4 will be the Q&A guest.
Just got my ticket. Can’t wait!
That is some rockin’ artwork, down to the wiggly feet.
Just got my ticket!!!
Then I noticed on the purchase confirmation screen Evenbrite offered me some other related events I could try. One a course on marijuana as an insomnia remedy and others on how to be trained to work in a dispensary in various states. My favorite is a discussion on fire safety hazards in a marijuana production plant.
All are totally related to the presentation tonight by The Mads according to AI
You Shoulda Said No!
Too late! I’m going to be a fire safety salamander
I’ll can say that when one of those factories burns up it’s going to draw a crowd
The next show is a Night of Shorts 13 on Oct. 10.
How was it? I had to work and missed another one.
I thought it was outstanding, one of their better efforts - but movie warning - it can go down some grim paths - SPECIFIC SPOILERS - as I’ve said before, I’m okay with things like “High School Big Shot”, but I know not everyone is. There’s a suicide by hanging in this one as well - and the ‘kid killer’ stuff was milked for some laughs during the flick and the Q&A after, which I thought was funny… but yeah, it’s dark, and it might upset sensitive viewers
Ed Wood, watching the rough cut of Reefer Sadness here:
“I dunno’, Man. I think your tone is awfully didactic. You’re also kinda’ laying the message on too thick, and your dialogue might be just a wee bit stilted and repetitive. I mean…”
[ETA - But some of ladies outfits were nice. Ed woulda’ approved of those, I’m sure.]
Dave Hill will be the Q&A guest for Tuesday’s show.
And it’s more shorts! We of short attention spans just love them
I got my ticket for tonight. Woooooo Hooooo
“Celebrate like Mads, c’mon!!”
Fun bunch of shorts tonight.
Now we all now how to get along in a marriage and write letters.
Sorry to all the ladies for what passed for normal in the 50s
But it was a funny show and Dave Hill was a great guest especially if you like hockey and/or baboon stories.
We need some kind of throwdown where The Mads and Ladies Rifftrax jointly target one of these repulsive How To Be A Colorless Doormat For The Worst Man On Earth shorts.
