The Random Photos thread (not the landscapes, wildlife, or pets thread)

Okay starting a new photos thread, WITH A TWIST, just for fun.

I have 73,209 photos in Lightroom. Most of them were shot on a Nikon, which means they have a 4-digit number in their filename. Most numbers have multiple photos that match.

Give me any four-digit number, and I’ll post one of the photos that matches. For example, here’s a photo for 1234:

If anyone else wants to participate, feel free to make up whatever randomizer-rule works for you, and jump in. (If we get more than one rule, people will need to say which rule they’re invoking.)

What’s your favorite four-digit number? Leading zeros allowed!

LOTS of good choices here (it now occurs to me, the lower the number, the more options there will be). Here’s the Carousel of Happiness from Nederland, Colorado.

I just did a tiger, but this lion picture is too good to pass up. San Francisco Zoo

Gonna try not to do too many wildlife pics since we already have a Wildlife photography topic, but since these are zoo pics they’re not really “wild”

I believe there is a meme that goes something like…

If I die in a mountain lion attack, just know that my last words were “pspspspsps”

Saucy choice! And lots of choices with 0001 in the name, many of them actually old family slides I’ve scanned. Here’s one of those.

The Berlin Wall circa ~ 1984. The western side is, as you can see, 100% covered in graffiti. The other side is pristine.

That really tall thing you see in the background, in East Berlin, is the Berlin TV Tower. It’s in Alexanderplatz and is the tallest structure in Germany at 1198 feet tall.

Wow, that is a fascinating slice of history there.

Thank you for sharing this!
