Looked around, didn’t see this brought up. When sorting owned videos all of the titles that start with the word “The” are all under T. It’s a very small thing but it can get annoying trying to find stuff and most style guides ignore it (and A or An)
Oh I’ll +1 that!
Please ignore the articles at the beginning of titles.
A very good point. “The,” should be ignored just as in a library.
Hey, @The , how’s that strike you?
Also +1 on this request
I also ask that we have a special exception for Attack of the the Eye Creatures, just to get rid of the extra “the.”
hurts a wee bit… Hahahahahah
Bad news for this band. Finding their records in the shop will be a nightmare.
This is now fixed. “The” is now ignored in alphabetical listings in the virtual Theater
i need to listen to The The. im a big fan of punk. im sad i never heard of The The
This one is marked as Solved but I’m still seeing most of the titles being alphabetized incorrectly when there’s a “The” in the title. This is Page 18 of my Fridge so these are all in under the letter T.
Well, that’s just weird. I have some pages alphabetising correctly:
And some not:
And then there’s this oddball:
There is definitely something still off with the sort function. @ivan any ideas?
More post-punk than punk, but they certainly had their moments. Start with the album Infected.
When the internet and early search engines came along, they found themselves in the same bind as The Band, when it came to searchability.
Long-running question in my house - do you file this band as “The The” or “The, The”?
It’s actually like Asian names, the last name goes first: “The The.” There is a slight pronunciation difference.
Should be fixed now – that was just a copy of the community screening livestream from Friday night. It’s been removed, since it’s identical to the actual Vault Pick we streamed!
Cheers @ivan for zapping the Pod People weirdness.
The weird alphabetising issue is still happening. Some titles that start with “The” will sort as if the ‘the’ isn’t there, others are still all listed under “T” (The Atomic Brain, The Beatniks, for example, are sorting under “T” instead of “A” or “B”)
Here’s a list of videos that begin with “A” or “The” in the “title” or “name” fields:
- A Case of Spring Fever
- The Atomic Brain
- The Beast Of Yucca Flats
- The Beast of Hollow Mountain
- The Beatniks
- The Black Scorpion
- The Brain That Wouldn’t Die
- The Brute Man
- The Castle Of Fu Manchu
- The Chicken of Tomorrow
- The Christmas That Almost Wasn’t
- The Corpse Vanishes
- The Crawling Eye
- The Crawling Hand
- The Day The Earth Froze
- The Dead Talk Back
- The Giant Gila Monster
- The Giant Spider Invasion
- The Girl In Lover’s Lane
- The Hellcats
- The Home Economics Story
- The Horror Of Party Beach
- The Human Duplicators
- The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living And Became Mixed-Up Zombies
- The Indestructible Man
- The Killer Shrews
- The Land that Time Forgot
- The Loves of Hercules
- The Mad Monster
- The Magic Sword
- The Painted Hills
- The Phantom Planet
- The Pumaman
- The Rebel Set
- The Robot vs. the Aztec Mummy
- The Screaming Skull
- The She-Creature
- The Sidehackers
- The Sinister Urge
- The Skydivers
- The Slime People
- The Starfighters
- The Sword and the Dragon
- The Time Travelers
- The Touch Of Satan
- The Undead

Also: I don’t have season 12 in my Gizmoplex account, so I can’t look at the data for The Day Time Ended. Might want to look at that one just in case.
Also also: less troublesome, but the Vault Pick selections have a couple of The titles:
- Vault Pick: THE BEGINNING OF THE END
- Vault Pick: THE KILLER SHREWS
I nominate @Chris_Combs for today’s Public Service award! That is some list!
To be fair, I built a robot to generate the list for me.
