Video is playing properly in the Virtual Theater in Safari Technology Preview...

Safari Technology Preview
Release 157 (Safari 16.4, WebKit 17615.1.11.7)

I realize that this may seem like a small thing, but Chrome annoys me, and having the video actually playing properly in full screen or zoomed is a welcome improvement.

Hazzah!

Hope this means it’ll “just work” in Safari at some point…

(Yes, I know the group view will only work in Chrome/special extension, but, this is still a welcome improvement for me)

Huzzah!

According to Ivan’s October 12 update, the Safari fullscreen bug was fixed in the 0.9.24 Gizmoplex update. (scroll down to the last set of bullet points) I just tested Safari 16.1 and everything works correctly—is your public-release Safari still giving you issues?

I hadn’t tried Safari since… August?

And 16.1 broke some sites leading me to use tech preview a lot recently…

Oh

So

Well then

Never mind.

I’m just glad it’s working! I keep forgetting and watching in Chrome out of habit … need to break myself of that.

Does it support AirPlay?

I’ll try to sit down and check Monday after dinner and before CordKillers live stream.

I have just tested Safari 16.1 and am able to AirPlay from my Video Fridge to the Apple TV.

Okay, there it is. First time I’ve seen AirPlay support on Mac OS.
