‘What are you straining to hear right now’ would be more appropriate in this case. I do like to bust this out every so often, play it at the standard volume on the stereo and just have it seep into the room slowly. The cats know something is up well before I do usually.
It’s not paring so well with my reading American Pastoral, I have to say. So I think once I’ve typed this message I’m just going to stare at the ceiling for a while. The quintessence of a Sunday evening activity.
