Eegah was on Twitch last night, and when that makes the rounds on Twitch, I can -never- give up on a repeat viewing.
One of my top 5 episodes. A laugh riot from start to finish.
“I buffed my love once, but I never shined it.”
“Oh, it’s that old bastard from the TV.”
Ive discovered that a lot of MST3K episode on youtube are VHS recordings labeled "Broadcast Edition’, and you can find some of the more obscure episodes like Fire Maidens and Collosus
Yesterday I watched Escape 2000 but have yet to leave The Bronx.
Ive been binge watching season one. Moon Zero Two stands out for me as one of my all time favorite episodes. J. Elvis did a great job as Tom and a Mad.
Touch of Satan. Always loved this episode and not just because my first car was a Ford Maverick.
Just watched Jack Frost, and started watching Prince of Space
I’ve watched Catalina Caper and Robot Holocaust this week.
Catalina Caper probably has the best soundtrack of any of the experiments, including when (and especially because) Tom sings to Creepy Girl.
San Fran International because of the kid, his family, and the stolen plane… comedy gold
Oh, but to elaborate:
So I have never seen this show outside of MST3k and I can only speculate… it seems like they needed a show set in the most boring place with stories that are completely outlandish and yet just as boring as the setting.
Honestly if I watched it without the commentary id tell you it was about sitting at an airport, and I literally need the MST3K cast to riff along in order for me to recognize a hijacking story or that a kid stole a plane.
Pretty amazing that something could be so bland that id miss those.
For bonus points it seems like it was filmed in sepia tone for added blandness.
Picked up the 25th Anniversary box set and had a double feature of Moon Zero Two and The Day the Earth Froze. Made for an oddly good pairing.
Just picked up the XVI collection, “Night of the Blood Beast” was a hoot. Really liked the skit with Crow announcing his “pregnancy”.
“Continuity is a spectrum, and we’re all on our own journeys.”
“Maybe Dan is more than a friend. That’s for the writers of fanfiction to decide.”
“That square bugs meee. He really bugs meeee!” Nothing like watching a Season 2 classic to help you kick an upper respiratory infection. (Yes, I’ve got antibiotics and etc; MST3K is medicine, too.)
Just finished The Day The Earth Froze and now it’s on to Horror Of Party Beach.
I’m not worried if a bunch of things I watch today end up as part of Turkey Day. I’ll just see it as a license to take a break and go eat more treats.
I rewatched that 20 minute meal short last night. Sooo funny. I love all the sound effects, but the best is when she looks at the clock and the panicked “EEP!” riff
Just watched most of Eegah. Not my favorite ep but i needed to make a gif for Arch Hall Jr saying, “Wowdee Wow Woww!”
“IT’S A SPOON!!”
