Haven’t decided how I feel about having this stuck in my head yet. I think I’m OK with it, but am reserving the right to change my mind later.
Night Ranger always gets a pass with me because of that awesome scene in Boogie Nights.
This song is inspired by the film “The Final Countdown”, which is likely a riffable film despite the fact that it is well made and has some high profile actors who are at the top of their games. I have the alternate version sung by Alessandro Del Vecchio stuck in my head instead of the Joe Lynn Turner version as I have been listening to the second CD recently (and Joe’s version is a bit uneven IMHO).
Listened to the 11/1/86 edition of the 80s countdown on Sirius XM’s 80s channel.
BTW, a certain song about on turning was on it.

Cool little 7/8 groove with some Metheny/Mays overtones. First heard it in a Better Call Saul montage. Fun video, too.
Damn that song slaps.
Believe it or not, it was written by Fountains of Wayne’s bassist.
I believe it! He was (RIP) something of a songwriter for hire. Clearly had the stuff.
I definitely throw on Radiation Vibe often. Great tune.
Yeah, it is on my “feel better” through music list !
Does not sound like a recipe for a restful night. Condolences!
